On January 21, 2025, Circle Internet Group, Inc., a global financial technology company and stablecoin market leader, announced its acquisition of Hashnote Holdings LLC, an investment platform focused on providing investors with customizable digital asset exposure and the issuer of US Yield Coin (USYC). The acquisition accelerates Circle’s product offerings and competitive position in digital asset capital markets as USYC, the largest Tokenized Money Market Fund (TMMF) in the world, will play a critical role as collateral in digital asset markets. The definitive merger agreement was signed effective as of December 31, 2024, and the transaction closed January 21, 2025.
