Carla Gilbertson’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition matters including merger clearance, civil litigation and criminal investigations. Ms. Gilbertson specializes in Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR Act) pre-merger compliance advising clients on reportability under the HSR Act and identifying filing obligations in foreign jurisdictions worldwide. Ms. Gilbertson also supports clients on Second Request responses and has helped secure numerous merger clearances from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Her clients include buyers, shareholders and sellers in strategic acquisitions of all types including venture capital, IP licensing, public and private takeovers and joint venture formations. As a member of the WilmerHale Discovery Solutions team, Ms. Gilbertson provides strategic consulting and process management, working with other attorneys and technical litigation support professionals to analyze data and deliver cost-effective discovery in litigation and investigation matters. She assists by designing and implementing streamlined, defensible workflows, leveraging technology-assisted review and artificial intelligence to yield efficiencies and timely insights into key documents. Ms. Gilbertson joined the firm in 2003.
