WilmerHale Represents Spectris in $166.7M Acquisition of Concurrent Real-Time

On July 12, 2021, Spectris plc, the expert in providing insight through precision measurement, announced that it has acquired Concurrent Real-Time, a global provider of high-performance, real-time computational hardware and software solutions, from Battery Ventures, a Boston-based PE firm, for $166.7 million (£121.2 million) in cash. The transaction supports Spectris’ strategy to make synergistic acquisitions to enhance and grow its platform and potential platform businesses.

The WilmerHale team advising Spectris was led by Stephanie Evans, and included Tal Hacohen, Douglas Edwards, Erin Bruynell and Frank Wang. Jason Chipman, Barry Hurewitz, Leon Greenfield, Matthew Ferraro, Kirk Nahra, Dr. Oliver Fleischmann and Vincent Pál advised on various regulatory matters; Bill Caporizzo, Scott Kilgore, Meghan Walsh and Christopher Shin advised on tax, executive compensation and employment matters; and Ben Fernandez and Jeff Johnson advised on intellectual property matters.
