On May 12, 2025, Lookout, Inc., the leader in mobile endpoint security, announced the sale of its Cloud Security line of business to Fortra, LLC,  a company dedicated to breaking the cyber attack chain with advanced offensive and defensive security solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Fortra acquired substantially all assets, intellectual property, and personnel associated with Lookout’s Cloud Security business. The sale reflects Lookout’s strategic focus on its Mobile Endpoint Security offering.

The WilmerHale team representing Lookout was led by Joe Wyatt and Eric Hanson with assistance from Shafi Armatis, Emily Ivers, Sarah Litwin, Stephen Gillespie, Bill Caporizzo, Ben Kelsey, Nathan Moore, Jana Lama, Ariella Feingold and Ali Jessani.
