Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW) has named Partner Avery Reaves and Counsel Nina Garcia to its annual list of the region’s Up & Coming Lawyers. The list recognizes those who have established themselves as rising stars in the local legal community within their first ten years of practice.

Reaves, who was recently elevated to partner, advises life sciences and technology companies on corporate and securities matters, with an emphasis on public offerings and public company counseling, mergers and acquisitions, and the representation of early-stage companies and investors in seed stage, venture capital or other financing transactions. Reaves was most recently recognized in Boston Magazine’s Top Lawyers list in 2023 in the area of corporate law.

Garcia focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation. She counsels prominent technology companies involved in global patent disputes and assists clients with patent litigation in federal district courts and in Section 337 investigations before the United States International Trade Commission. Garcia was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for commercial litigation (2024) and was named to Boston Magazine’s Top Lawyers list in 2023 in the area of intellectual property rights.

Reaves and Garcia were honored at MLW’s Excellence in the Law ceremony in Boston on March 19.
