The Austrian Arbitration Academy is a two-week intensive program within the Summer University for both regular students of the Summer University and participants who take part only in this special arbitration course. It addresses students and law school graduates interested in the world of international dispute resolution, and young practitioners looking for a comprehensive course giving them first-hand insights from the world of international arbitration.
The classes will be taught by first class international arbitration practitioners from both the bar and academia, including WilmerHale Special Counsel and Senior Lecturer at the Queen Mary University of London Dr. Maxi Scherer. Professor Paul Oberhammer, who is a consultant in the International Arbitration Group at WilmerHale, will act as course director and WilmerHale Senior Associate Helmut Ortner will present on the topic "Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms, Arbitration Agreement, Arbitration Procedure."
