Crypto Currently: Criminal v. Civil Liability

Webinar CLE

Join us as we kick off a webinar series designed to address the focus of various government agencies on cryptocurrency.

During this program, WilmerHale Partners Preet Bharara, Robert L. Boone, Zachary Goldman and Tiffany J. Smith will discuss the heightened focus on crypto by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and how this heightened focus could impact crypto market participants.

The panelists will discuss the following:

  • the DOJ’s jurisdictional authority and compare this authority with the civil authority of other government agencies;
  • common theories of criminal liability, including wire fraud, money laundering and potential securities violations; and
  • lessons learned from recent high-profile crypto investigations.

During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online. CLE credit will be provided.
