A WilmerHale trial team led by partners Bob Gunther and Omar Khan received a shout-out in Litigation Daily's August 28, 2026, "Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs" column for securing a $56 million jury verdict on behalf of Beckman Coulter in a patent infringement dispute against Cytek Biosciences. 

Following a trial in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, a federal jury unanimously found that Cytek infringed a Beckman Coulter patent covering technology used to rapidly analyze single cells. The jury awarded Beckman Coulter $20 million in lost profits and $36.11 million in reasonable royalties for past infringing sales. 

In recognizing the result, Litigation Daily highlighted Bob, Omar and the WilmerHale team, which also included James Dowd, Jeffrey Dennhardt, Thomas Saunders and Christopher Noyes.
