Laura Macro focuses her practice on patent litigation and prosecution in the life sciences sector. Dr. Macro is well versed in a variety of technologies, from diagnostics and medical devices to therapeutics, including gene therapy and therapeutic antibodies. Her experience includes managing and prosecuting patent portfolios for a wide range of companies, from startups to large research universities. In addition, Dr. Macro is highly skilled in patent litigation and pre-suit investigation, including non-infringement and invalidity analysis.

Dr. Macro holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law, and a PhD from The Rockefeller University; both in New York. During her graduate studies, Dr. Macro investigated the role of clathrin-mediated endocytosis in the social amoeba Dictyostelium. From 2003-2004, Dr. Macro was an undergraduate researcher at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she studied the cellular mechanisms of an anti-angiogenic peptide. Dr. Macro received a Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds PhD Fellowship from the Foundation for Basic Research in Medicine, as well as a Women in Science Graduate Fellowship, from The Rockefeller University.
