High-Frequency Trading—A New Regulatory Focus

Speaking Engagement
WilmerHale Partners Paul Architzel, Elizabeth Mitchell, Andre Owens and Dan Berkovitz—former General Counsel of the CFTC—will participate in a DC Bar Association panel discussion on the current CFTC and SEC guidance on automated trading, including high-frequency trading.

This discussion will highlight the agencies' guidance on these trading systems, particularly in light of recent and highly publicized market disruptions resulting from the fundamental shift from human-centered futures and derivatives markets to highly automated and interconnected trading environments. WilmerHale Special Counsel Gail Bernstein will moderate the panel.
