This week-long program, presented by Africa International Legal Awareness, aims to equip participants with an understanding of the key concepts of investment treaty law and investor-state arbitration as the main dispute settlement mechanism of investment disputes. It will cover many topics, including treaty negotiation, drafting and interpretation, investment treaty substantive standards, treaty renegotiation and termination, settlement of investment disputes, recognition, enforcement and challenges of awards.
