Ericka Aiken focuses her practice on investigations and criminal, appellate and Supreme Court litigation.

Ms. Aiken has represented individuals, private companies and financial institutions in criminal, civil and regulatory matters involving the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. Her litigation practice has included representing a private company in a government investigation involving alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Her litigation practice has also included providing guidance to private companies navigating complex regimes, including the Stored Communications Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, ransomware legislation and cryptocurrency laws.

Ms. Aiken shares WilmerHale's deep commitment to pro bono legal representation, providing such representation to clients seeking to vindicate their civil rights in state and federal courts. Her pro bono work has included cases involving voting rights, fair housing rights, religious rights and anti-discrimination.

Ms. Aiken joined the firm after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Damon J. Keith of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Honorable Arenda L. Wright Allen of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Honorable Eric T. Washington of District of Columbia Court of Appeals. 

While attending law school, Ms. Aiken worked as a legal intern in AARP's Office of the General Counsel, a law clerk to Chief Administrative Law Judge David C. Simmons of the District of Columbia Commission on Human Rights, and a law clerk in the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office.
