Ericka Aiken

Ericka Aiken focuses her practice on investigations and criminal, appellate and Supreme Court litigation.

Ms. Aiken has represented individuals, private companies and financial institutions in criminal, civil and regulatory matters involving the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. Her litigation practice has included representing a private company in a government investigation involving alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  She also represented a private company involved in an international arbitration dispute. 

Ms. Aiken shares in WilmerHale's commitment to pro bono legal representation. She has provided pro bono representation to a client seeking to vindicate civil rights in DC courts. 

Ms. Aiken joins the firm after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Damon J. Keith of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the Honorable Arenda L. Wright Allen of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Honorable Eric T. Washington of District of Columbia Court of Appeals. 

While attending law school, Ms. Aiken worked as a legal intern in AARP's Office of the General Counsel, a law clerk to Chief Administrative Law Judge David C. Simmons of the District of Columbia Commission on Human Rights, and a law clerk in the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office.

The Equal Rights Center, a civil rights organization that seeks to promote equal opportunity in housing, filed a lawsuit against The Lenkin Company Management, Inc., a residential property management firm, and related entities for violating the DC Human Rights Act and the federal Fair Housing Act for discriminatory rental practices.
