Joanna Li focuses her practice on complex transactional matters. She joined WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2024 and returned as an associate in 2025.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Li was a summer associate and 1L LCLD Scholar at a Boston-based law firm, where she also spent a portion of her summer program gaining in-house experience at Liberty Mutual as a legal intern. While in law school, Ms. Li served as a legal extern at the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in Boston, working closely with pro bono attorneys on various matters ranging from copyright to landlord-tenant. After completing her undergraduate degree, she was a paralegal at a small law firm in Pennsylvania.
