Francesca Shaffer focuses her practice on complex transactional matters. She joined WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2024 and returned as an associate in 2025.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Shaffer was a legal intern at Novo Nordisk, where she drafted and negotiated NDAs for third-party vendors, analyzed licensing agreements and conducted legal research on compliance obligations. During law school, she was a Supreme Judicial Court Rule 3:03 Certified Student Attorney for the Domestic Violence Clinic at Northeastern University, representing clients in 209A civil restraining order and SIJS matters, and collaborating with peer attorneys and domestic violence advocates on client cases.
