Congress has passed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. This legislation has been enacted against the backdrop of unprecedented financial market turmoil and increased supervisory and enforcement activity.

On Friday, October 10, 2008, WilmerHale's Co-Managing Partner, Bill Perlstein; Securities Litigation and Enforcement Chair, Bill McLucas; and Broker-Dealer and Compliance Regulation Chair, Brandon Becker, led a discussion regarding the current enforcement environment and the effects of the legislation and its implementation.
