Benchmark Litigation has once again recognized Partners Bill Lee, Hallie Levin and Joseph Mueller in the 2025 edition of its Top 100 Trial Lawyers list. According to the legal directory, honorees are an “elite group of partners who are venerated by peers and clients as being the best in breed at the nuanced practice of trial law.” All three Partners were additionally listed as 2025 Litigation Stars by Benchmark Litigation earlier this month.   

Bill Lee is a leading trial and appellate lawyer and intellectual property litigator who has represented a variety of technology-focused clients for more than 40 years. Mr. Lee has tried more than 200 cases to verdict and argued more than 100 cases to the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit and other appellate courts. Those have included some of the highest profile cases of the last decade. Bill is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent professional organization for North American trial lawyers. 

Hallie B. Levin, also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, is a seasoned trial lawyer who serves as lead counsel on high-stakes commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitral tribunals. Ms. Levin represents clients in connection with a broad range of matters, including complex contract disputes, antitrust cases, business torts and trade secrets cases. Levin was also recognized this year in both the directory’s Top 250 Women in Litigation and the Top 10 Women in Litigation lists. 

Joe Mueller is a top national trial lawyer who has played a leading role in dozens of high-stakes trials in courts across the country. Mr. Mueller is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Since 2020, Mr. Mueller has first-chaired the trial teams in seven trials that each involved billion-dollar stakes, as well as two other trials that each involved multi-hundred-million-dollar stakes. He is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers for intellectual property, and per feedback reported by IAM Patent 1000, “Joe is in the top 1% of US patent trial lawyers of his generation.”
