WilmerHale Named to Bloomberg Law’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework

Bloomberg Law has named WilmerHale to its third annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Framework in recognition of the firm’s strong commitment to advancing inclusivity. WilmerHale is one of 55 firms to be recognized based on a series of diversity-related benchmarks, including leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy and bias and harassment training.

According to Bloomberg Law, the framework is “a listing of law firms that meet or exceed a rising standard for diversity, equity and inclusion in their firm.” Following an extensive quantitative review of the firms’ diversity-related data, the organization found that:

  • 97% of firms have a public statement regarding their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • 79% of firms require diversity within a pool of candidates for management and leadership roles.
  • 72% of firms mandate and monitor that minority and women attorneys have equal access to client, quality work assignments, commute appointments, marketing efforts, and firm events.
  • 57% of firms tie a component of partner compensation to diversity efforts.
  • 48% of firms say that Practice Group leaders have clear diversity and inclusion goals included as part of their annual performance review.
