WilmerHale Named to “Innovations in Equity and Racial Justice” Shortlist by the Financial Times
The firm is being recognized for its work in furthering racial equity. WilmerHale added to its long history of working to advance racial justice by formally establishing the firm’s Racial Justice Reform Initiative in 2020. Co-led by April Williams, a DC-based partner, and Mark Fleming, a Boston-based partner, the goal of this initiative is to ensure that we use our resources and expertise to bring about much-needed change and to provide focus, structure, and sustainability to this vital work. The initiative encompasses pro bono matters involving civil rights, police reform, voting rights, and economic access.
Earlier this year, WilmerHale and the Racial Justice Reform Initiative were recognized by The American Lawyer in its 2022 Industry Awards as a finalist for “Best Diversity Initiative.”
The honorees named to the Financial Times shortlist will be recognized at an event on December 5.
