On December 9, 2020, XLMedia plc (LSE: XLM), a London Stock Exchange listed global digital performance publisher focused on web assets across verticals including online gambling, personal finance and sports, announced its acquisition of the CBWG sports media, gaming and betting business. The acquisition is part of XLMedia’s strategy to expand its presence in the United States sports market. 

WilmerHale is representing XLMedia in the transaction, with a team led by Partner Chris Barnstable-Brown which included Associates Victoria Peluso and Korey Cowan on corporate matters, and Partners Calvin Walden, Scott Kilgore, Julie Hogan Rodgers, Mike Bevilacqua and Senior Associate Reade Jacob on intellectual property, employment, tax, and privacy matters.
