The American Law Institute (ALI)is an independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law. The Institute drafts, discusses, revises, and publishes restatements of the law, model statutes, and principles of law that are influential in the courts and legislatures, as well as in legal scholarship and education.
ALI will hold its 89th Annual Meeting on Monday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 23 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. The meeting combines important addresses and intellectual debate, and draws more than 600 judges, lawyers, and law professors from the United States and abroad.
