The leading IV Congress of Polish Biotechnology and IV EUROBIOTECH 2011, hosts the fourth edition of their international event which gathers over 400 of the most prominent representatives of science and business in biotechnology sector from Central Europe and from all over the world.
The Congress with its leading theme the "Four Colours of Biotechnology" is organized by Jagiellonian University, University of Agriculture in Krakow and the Biotechnology Committee of Polish Academy of Sciences. It was a combination of two scientific meetings, previously held separately: Congress of Polish Biotechnology and Central European Congress of Life Sciences - EUROBIOTECH.
This event created an excellent platform for presentation of recent achievements and future trends of biotechnology in Poland and in other countries as well. The participants in attendance were from Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine and Lithuania as well as from other countries.
Leading scientists in their field were invited to give lectures on respective topics. Apart from Polish participants, scientists and students from other countries, especially from Central Europe, participated. The accompanying exhibition gathered companies from different sectors of biotechnology, creating an opportunity to exchange ideas and to establish cooperation between business and science.
WilmerHale Senior Associate Dr. Monika E. Richter was a featured speaker at this event. She spoke on the topic "Technology Transfer: Major Issues in Biotech Deal Making."
