The biannual BIO Intellectual Property Counsels Committee Conference will feature educational sessions on the latest issues in the biotech IP sector, informal networking events and practical tips. The conference brings together more than 100 attendees representing biotech and pharma companies, law firms, academia and government.
WilmerHale Partner Lisa Pirozzolo will be a moderator on the panel “Legal Developments, Cutting-Edge Cases and Practical Implications”, which includes WilmerHale Partner Thomas Saunders as a panelist. The panel will examine significant developments from the US Supreme Court, as well as notable lower court decisions, illustrating new developments and how recent trends in the law could impact the biotechnology industry. Topics will include, among others, venue jurisprudence post-TC Heartland and appeals from inter partes review, including standing to appeal and the intersection of patent and administrative law.
