Georgetown International Arbitration Month (GIAM) is an annual conference in Washington, DC, which joins practitioners, scholars and students from around the world for a series of panels on emerging issues and trends facing the international arbitration community. GIAM 2016 was a month-long speaker series focusing on cutting-edge issues in commercial and investment arbitration, and other aspects of dispute resolution and trade. Owing to the ever-evolving nature of the field, this year's GIAM incorporated new perspectives on issues including representatives from the private sector and various governments.
