Vincent Pál advises on German and European competition and merger control law, as well as German and international foreign direct investment control law. He assists clients in complex cross-border merger proceedings and governmental investigations. Mr. Pál has strong experience in a broad range of industries, including life sciences, technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, commodities, and energy.

In addition, Mr. Pál advises on compliance matters, in particular corporate compliance, and cross-border investigations. Mr. Pál completed a one-year secondment at a multinational commodity trading and mining company, where he focused on the due diligence and integration of compliance processes in the context of joint venture and M&A transactions.

  • Advising a German telecommunications company in phase 2 merger control proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and in subsequent third-party appeal proceedings before the OLG Düsseldorf concerning the formation of a joint venture for the roll-out of a fiber telecommunications network in North-Western Germany.
  • Advising a global science and technology company in complex merger control proceedings before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office concerning its multibillion-dollar acquisition of a technology company's healthcare subsidiary, biopharma business and subsequent divestitures.
