Itsiq Benizri



Itsiq Benizri focuses his practice on EU competition, data protection and cybersecurity law. 

Mr. Benizri advises clients on EU aspects of cartels and merger control proceedings as well as on state aid matters. His experience covers cartel and merger cases in several industries, including energy, pharmaceuticals and electronics. He also has experience in state aid matters involving tax rulings. 

With regard to EU data protection and cybersecurity law, Mr. Benizri advises Japanese and multinational companies on all compliance issues, including cross-border flows of personal data and processing of personal data and data security. His experience covers several industries, including IT/cloud computing, telecommunications, gaming, banking, automotive, transport, chemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.

Mr. Benizri is qualified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Mr. Benizri is also qualified as a "privacy and cybersecurity national expert" by Getting The Deal Through. Mr. Benizri is also a frequent contributor to the firm's Privacy and Cybersecurity Law Blog.

Mr. Benizri has an active pro bono practice. In this context, he regularly represents clients in civil and criminal cases before the Belgian Courts.
