WilmerHale is pleased to announce that C. Alex Bahn, an experienced corporate and securities attorney, has joined the firm as a partner in our Washington DC office.

Mr. Bahn’s practice focuses primarily on the representation of public companies in corporate governance, securities laws compliance and disclosure matters, including advising public companies on SEC disclosure requirements, annual meeting and proxy matters, executive compensation disclosure matters, stock exchange listing standards and general compliance with securities laws and regulations. Mr. Bahn also frequently represents companies, investors and funds on beneficial ownership reporting, short-swing liability avoidance, insider trading matters and other securities compliance considerations.

Mr. Bahn works with clients across industries and sizes, including large cap listed companies and wealthy individuals and investment entities.

“The breadth of Alex’s experience in counseling clients on corporate and securities matters and in capital markets further bolsters the firm’s offerings in these areas. This not only expands our ability to support clients, but builds on our commitment to further grow our corporate practice, which is a key part of the firm’s strategic plan,” said Susan Murley, a partner in the firm’s corporate practice and co-managing partner of WilmerHale.

“I’ve known and had the opportunity to work with a number of WilmerHale attorneys over the years and have been impressed with the overall capabilities the firm offers clients, as well as the commitment to collaboration and collegiality among individuals at the firm,” said Mr. Bahn. “I’m thrilled to join the firm’s recognized public company team and further the firm’s expansion of its corporate practice.”

Mr. Bahn has been recommended in the areas of M&A/Corporate and Commercial and Corporate Governance and named a Next Generation Partner by Legal 500. He currently is a member of the American Bar Association’s Committee on the Federal Regulation of Securities and serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA’s Subcommittee on Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Section 16.
