Matt Morris represents clients in trial and appellate litigation, with a particular focus on national security matters and government-facing litigation. He maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration law.

Matt was a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2020 and returned to the firm in 2026 as a senior associate. Prior to rejoining the firm, he served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Solicitor General for the District of Columbia, representing the District in a range of appellate litigation matters.

Matt clerked for Justice Elena Kagan of the Supreme Court of the United States, Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan of the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, Judge Randolph Moss of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, and Judge Loren AliKhan of the DC Court of Appeals. He graduated first in his class from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. 

Before entering law school, Matt worked in investment banking and private equity.
