Jacob Brownell represents clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters. Mr. Brownell is a co-producer of WilmerHale's In the Public Interest podcast, which welcomes interesting guests who share their unique perspectives on legal issues and topics making headlines. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Brownell served as a legal intern for the International Bar Association and completed a clerkship in the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. During his time as a summer law clerk, he drafted memoranda on behalf of the Solicitor General’s division for litigation.

While at the Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Brownell served as a teaching assistant in the Law Center’s Legal Practice Program and researched and updated case law for the Georgetown Law Journal’s widely circulated Annual Review of Criminal Procedure. Before attending law school, Mr. Brownell was an award-winning public radio reporter and producer.
