Edward Meehan

Edward Meehan advises financial services organizations in understanding and navigating complex legal and regulatory issues in the investment management industry, including those related to registered funds, compliance, corporate governance, derivatives and mutual fund distribution.

Mr. Meehan previously worked in-house for the asset management divisions of investment banks where he advised business units and compliance professionals on new or revised laws and regulations, structured and launched new mutual fund and exchange-traded fund products, and provided legal advice on mutual fund corporate governance and distribution.

As an associate at other law firms, Mr. Meehan advised clients on a wide array of investment management issues and transactions, including representation of open-end investment companies, initial public offerings for closed-end investment companies, private fund formations, and mergers and acquisition transactions involving registered investment advisors and mutual fund sponsors.
