Carrie M. Montgomery

Carrie Montgomery represents clients in complex litigation matters.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Ms. Montgomery clerked for the Honorable Raymond A. Jackson of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She began her career at WilmerHale as a summer associate in 2017.

Before joining WilmerHale, Ms. Montgomery was a diversity fellow at an international law firm in New York. She served as a paralegal specialist and legal clerk in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York for over four years. She has also held positions in the New York State Office of the Attorney General and the White House Office of Presidential Correspondence. For two years, she was a junior leadership board member for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, a nonprofit that provides educational and career support to young people from underserved communities.

While a student at Cornell Law School, Ms. Montgomery served as the academic chair of the Black Law Student’s Association. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board.
