Caroline Geist-Benitez’s practice focuses on internal and government investigations, white-collar criminal matters and complex litigation. She also counsels clients on regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Ms. Geist-Benitez has represented financial institutions and companies in high-stakes investigations with a particular focus on cross-border issues. She has conducted investigations in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Her experience includes conducting internal investigations into potential FCPA violations and representing clients in government investigations involving allegations of securities fraud, market manipulation and False Claims across multiple jurisdictions. Ms. Geist-Benitez also has experience counseling companies in developing and implementing anti-corruption, AML, data privacy, and other regulatory compliance programs and training.  

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Geist-Benitez was a litigation and enforcement associate at Cleary Gottlieb in New York and Washington DC. While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Geist-Benitez served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ann C. Williams of the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
