Ariel Dobkin represents clients in a broad range of complex regulatory matters and in government inquiries, internal investigations, and crisis management matters involving intersecting legal, public policy and media dimensions that frequently require a coordinated strategic response. She has counseled a variety of technology, healthcare and financial sector clients—from large social media platforms to major insurers and financial institutions to cryptocurrency startups—on many of the most challenging consumer protection, cybersecurity and political issues they face in the current regulatory environment.

Ms. Dobkin represents clients before federal, state, and international regulators on a broad range of issues, helping them navigate investigations brought under unfair and deceptive acts and practices statutes, data breach notification laws, and content moderation–related rules, among others. She has negotiated resolutions for a variety of clients facing investigations by state attorneys general. She also has extensive experience advising clients in sensitive internal investigations involving cybersecurity compliance, incident response management, privacy, content-related issues, and other challenges.

In her robust congressional investigations practice, Ms. Dobkin has represented tech companies, government contractors, financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and others in US Senate and House investigations, as well as before state legislatures. She has prepared chief executive officers and other senior executives to testify before Congress and to appear in briefings or meetings with members of the House and Senate and their staff. 

Ms. Dobkin’s pro bono practice is varied and includes corporate, privacy, and cybersecurity counseling for nonprofit organizations, as well as visa and green card applications.

Ms. Dobkin joined the firm after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Katherine B. Forrest in the Southern District of New York. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Bronx Charter School for Better Learning.
