Ariel Dobkin

Ariel Dobkin represents a variety of clients on a broad range of complex regulatory matters and investigations. She advises clients on issues related to cryptocurrency, US and European data protection laws, and cybersecurity.

Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable Katherine B. Forrest of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.  She also served as a Postgraduate Research Fellow at MIT’s Internet Policy Research Initiative and was a fellow of the Internet Law & Policy Foundry. 

While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Dobkin was involved in the Open Government & Open Data Governance Innovation Clinic. She was a policy fellow for Fundera, Inc. and an affiliated fellow at Yale University’s Institution for Social & Policy Studies. She also completed internships at the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, where she focused on the data collection practices of intelligence agencies, the National Economic Council of the White House, the Brookings Institution and the Parliament of the United Kingdom. She has worked as a research analyst for various political campaigns and was a director’s financial analyst at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
