Hale and Dorr Expands European Intellectual Property Practice

Hale and Dorr is delighted to announce the recruitment to its London office of leading intellectual property litigator, Robert Barry, from magic circle firm, Allen & Overy.

Previously a partner at Bird & Bird, Robert Barry is a leading patent and trademark litigator with experience in significant cases such as: Philips v Remington, OCLI v Pilkington and Exxon v Lubrizol.

Robert Barry joins the firm as partner and will spearhead the launch of Hale and Dorr's European Intellectual Property Litigation practice. Mr. Barry's appointment follows the recruitment to Hale and Dorr's London office of another former Bird & Bird partner, Mark Haftke, partner, who joined from KLegal last November as head of the non-contentious IP Department.
