According to The National Law Journal’s “Supreme Court Scorecard,” WilmerHale had more US Supreme Court wins this past term than any other firm. The firm’s attorneys argued five cases in the 2010 term and won four of those cases. Not only did the firm achieve more wins than any other firm, but it achieved the highest win percentage of firms arguing multiple cases. WilmerHale was also one of only four firms whose attorneys argued five or more Supreme Court cases this term.

WilmerHale Partners Seth Waxman, Mark Fleming and Danielle Spinelli argued in front of the Court this year. Waxman had three arguments, which brought his total number of arguments since the year 2000 to 32, ranking him seventh on the NLJ’s list of advocates with the “Most Supreme Court Arguments of the 21st Century.” Over the course of his career, Waxman has argued 59 cases in front of the Court.

WilmerHale’s arguments in the 2010 Supreme Court term included: Turner v. Rogers, Chase Bank USA, N.A. v. McCoy and Microsoft Corp. v. i4i Limited Partnership (Waxman); Board of Trustees of Leland Stanford Junior University v. Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. (Fleming); and United States v. Tohono O’odham Nation (Spinelli).
