On March 30, 2023, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reversed a patent infringement win for VirnetX that resulted in more than $500 million in damages. The patent reversal came after WilmerHale successfully argued against VirnetX’s allegations that Apple infringed various patent claims directed to basic internet security.
