On November 2, 2022, Alethea announced that it raised $10 million in its Series A round led by Ted Schlein and Kevin Mandia of Ballistic Ventures. Founded in 2019, Alethea is a technology company that detects and mitigates disinformation, misinformation and social media manipulation. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ballistic Ventures is a venture capital firm solely dedicated to early-stage cybersecurity and cyber-related companies.
