Five WilmerHale partners in the Denver office have been recognized in Law Week Colorado’s “Barrister’s Best” awards. The annual recognition highlights the top attorneys from across the state in a variety of practice areas as selected by the legal community and editors at Law Week Colorado.

  • Michael Connor was named Best Renewable Energy Lawyer, with Law Week Colorado noting that he “has earned a reputation as an authority on natural resources, water policy and Native American law,” and citing his frequent work with tribes seeking sustainable use of land and water resources.
  • Chalyse Robinson was named Best Banking Lawyer. “Chalyse Robinson offers a broad range of experience representing national and international companies and private equity funds active across a diverse range of industries,” Law Week Colorado noted.
  • Mindy Sooter was named Best Civil Litigator. The publication noted her role as partner-in-charge of the Denver office and her background as an engineer, sharing “she credits this experience with giving her the ability to readily communicate with the jury and present technological information to them.”
  • Keith Trammell was named Best Private Equity Lawyer. Law Week Colorado notes that Trammell is known in the legal community for his work with private and public companies and private equity funds in M&A transactions. The profile also notes that “last year, Trammell partnered with other attorneys in ColoradoCOVIDRelief.org, an organization that offers legal help in business issues, bankruptcy and eviction through the pandemic.”
  • John Walsh had the rare honor of being named both Best Litigator and Best Overall Litigator. “John Walsh is a familiar name even to those outside of the legal industry thanks to his years as US Attorney for the District of Colorado,” Law Week Colorado shared, further noting that he brings that experience to his practice which includes criminal and complex civil litigation.
