WilmerHale Lawyers Win A 2020 Burton Award for State Attorneys General and the Energy Sector Article

WilmerHale lawyers won a 2020 Burton Award, one of the legal field’s most prestigious prizes for writing, for an article on the increased investigative and enforcement activities of state attorneys general that target energy companies.

The WilmerHale lawyers who whose article won the award for the firm were partners Brian Mahanna and David Gringer; Bonnie Heiple, a counsel, and Heidi Ruckriegle, a senior associate. The title of their winning article, which was published in Law360 on May 9, 2019 was “4 Ways State AGs Are Targeting Energy Sector.”

The awards, given for “clear, precise and comprehensive legal writing” were announced on Feb. 19, 2020.

WilmerHale will be among 25 winning firms to be recognized at a Library of Congress gala in Washington, DC, scheduled for June 8, 2020.
