WilmerHale Counsels Demandware in $2.8B Acquisition by Salesforce

Salesforce, a customer success platform and the world's number one CRM company, and Demandware, the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Salesforce will acquire Demandware in a transaction worth approximately $2.8 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of Salesforce's fiscal year 2017, ending July 31, 2016.

The WilmerHale team on the transaction was led by Partner Mark Borden and included Partner Jay Bothwick, Counsel Michael Welhouse, Senior Associate Mark Nylen, Partners Scott Kilgore, Hartmut Schneider and Michael Bevilacqua, and Counsel Ciara Baker.
