Each fall, nine Supreme Court justices begin hearing and deliberating the country's most important—and often most controversial—legal cases. The afternoon panel will feature speakers who will be previewing some of the cases the Supreme Court will take up.

At the Ripley Center, the panel will debate critical issues raised in some of the cases the court will hear. The panel includes US Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, Co-Head of Sullivan & Cromwell's Appellate Litigation Practice Jeff Wall; WilmerHale Partner and member of the firm's Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Practice Catherine Carroll; and Editor-in-Charge of the Legal Affairs Department at Reuters Joan Biskupic. Kannon Shanmugam, head of Williams & Connolly's Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation Practice will serve as moderator.
