Regulation of Social Media in the Workplace and in the Marketplace

Regulation of Social Media in the Workplace and in the Marketplace

Speaking Engagement
This presentation will discuss what employers need to know in drafting, updating and implementing corporate social media policies. Employer engagement with, and oversight of, employee social media activity is limited by nuanced state legislation. The intersection of social media policies with Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act will also be explored.

WilmerHale has been accredited by the New York State and California State Continuing Legal Education Boards as a provider of continuing legal education. This program is being planned with the intention to offer CLE credit in California and non-transitional CLE credit in New York. This program, therefore, is not approved for New York newly admitted attorneys. WilmerHale is not an accredited provider of Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida or Georgia CLE, but we will apply for credit in these states. The type and amount of credit awarded will be determined solely by those state CLE Boards. Attendees requesting CLE credit must attend the entire program.
