Crypto Currently: Unpacking the GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act and Future of the Crypto Industry

Join us for a webinar discussing the GENIUS Act, the CLARITY Act, and insights into best practices and the future of the crypto industry. WilmerHale Partner Jeremy Moorehouse will lead a discussion with Zachary Goldman, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Working Group; Matthew B. Kulkin, partner and chair of the firm’s Futures and Derivatives practice; Special Counsel Megan O’Flynn and Public Policy Advisor Jeffrey Wieand. The panelists will discuss the new crypto legislation and the impact it has on stakeholders.

Among other topics, this webinar will cover: 

  • the stablecoin issuance and custody framework set forth by the GENIUS Act, which was signed into law on July 18, 2025;
  • the SEC and CFTC market structure regulatory framework for digital commodities set forth in the CLARITY Act, which is currently pending before the Senate; and
  • policy insights, best practices and practical implications of these key pieces of legislation.

During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online. CLE credit is pending for this program.

WilmerHale has been approved as a Colorado Certified Provider, as recognized by the Colorado Supreme Court Continuing Legal and Judicial Education Committee. We will apply for Colorado CLE (after the program) if requested. The type and amount of credit awarded will be determined solely by the Colorado Supreme Court. New Jersey grants reciprocal credit for programs that are approved in New York. We can also issue Connecticut credit. All attendees, regardless of jurisdiction, will receive a uniform certificate of attendance that shows the states in which the program was approved. Attendees who need credit in another jurisdiction can use the uniform certificate of attendance to self-apply. CLE credit is not available for on-demand webinar recordings.
