Kirk’s session, “Managing Legal Ethics in Uncertain Legal Times,” will take place on Monday, September 23 from 8:30–9:30 a.m. The panel will explore some of the key legal ethics that arise when technology moves faster than the law and will use ethics rules and case studies to discuss how to advocate for clients and defend before regulators when the law is not yet developed or is moving rapidly. Attendees will learn best practices for giving legal advice in unsettled areas, thoughts on when enforcement risk can factor into legal advice, areas where legal advice can be given even without technical expertise and how the case law on enforcement can affect legal advice.
