WilmerHale presents “The Revolution Will Be Synthesized: A Webinar Series on Legal Developments in the Age of AI.” This is the eighth webinar in this series.

On March 13, 2024, the European Parliament adopted the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act). The AI Act is considered to be the world’s first comprehensive horizontal legal framework for AI. It provides for EU-wide rules on data quality, transparency, human oversight and accountability. During this webinar, WilmerHale lawyers Martin Braun, Anne Vallery and Itsiq Benizri will provide an overview of the essential definitions, the material and territorial scope, and the basic implications of the AI Act.

Topics will include:

  • legislative and political background;
  • defining AI;
  • identifying key AI players;
  • understanding the scope of the AI Act; and
  • overview of the AI Act’s risk-based approach, key requirements and obligations.

During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online. CLE credit will be provided.

*CLE credit is not available for those who watch a recording of the webinar.
