The Privacy + Security Academy’s fall forum brings together seasoned thought leaders in privacy and security for rigorous deep-dive sessions that deliver practical takeaways. The event is designed for privacy and security professionals, chief information officers, attorneys, academics, experts from NGOs and thinks tanks, technologists and policymakers. WilmerHale Partner and Co-Chair of WilmerHale’s Artificial Intelligence practice and Cybersecurity and Privacy practice Kirk Nahra will speak alongside Senior Associate Shannon Togawa Mercer during the “Shifting Norms in Data Security Incident Response” session from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on November 10. During this session, Kirk and Shannon will walk attendees through the new challenges faced by companies involved in a multi-party data breach.

Kirk Nahra will also speak on a session titled “The Best Medicine: Respecting Privacy with Health-Related Data” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on November 9. During this session, Kirk and industry leaders will discuss legal developments and how they impact health-related data collection. 

WilmerHale Special Counsel Arianna Evers and Senior Associate Ali Jessani will join a panel titled “Addressing Consumer Protection Concerns in AI Applications” from 4 to 5 p.m. on November 9. This panel will discuss what laws are already in place that govern AI, as well as potential pathways that are beginning to emerge for regulating the technology.
