WilmerHale and the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) invite you to the EBC’s Seventh Annual Offshore Wind Conference: 2020 Vision—Procurements, Permits, Ports and Jobs.

Development of wind energy generation projects off the Eastern coast of the United States is at its zenith. Federal lease auctions have resulted in significant competition and record-breaking prices for offshore parcels. A number of New England states, including Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, have recently approved long-term power purchase agreements. Proceedings are underway to secure key permits for siting and transmission, and entities and localities are clamoring to establish the infrastructure needed to bring these projects into reality. Federal and state officials will join representatives of lead developers including Equinor Wind US, Ørsted, Mayflower Wind and Vineyard Wind to discuss plans for responsible growth of offshore wind and related economic, environmental, regulatory and political issues.

WilmerHale Partner Raya Treiser will speak with Laura Smith Morton, senior director, policy and regulatory affairs for the American Wind Energy Association, on The 3 Ts: Transmission, Transportation, Tax Credits.
