There have been a number of significant changes in cryptocurrency regulation within the last year. Representatives from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and state regulators will discuss these changes and their implications at this event, hosted by the DC Bar. WilmerHale Special Counsel Petal Walker will moderate a panel discussion on cryptocurrency and digital asset regulation between WilmerHale Partner Lillian Brown, North American Securities Administrators Association Executive Director Joseph Brady, Former Chief Innovation Officer and Director of Lab at the CFTC Dan Gorfine, and SEC Branch Chief Sumeera Younis. A fireside chat between CFTC Commissioner Brian Quintenz and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s Ted Serafini will follow the panel discussion.
