Tamar Kaplan-Marans represents financial institutions in litigation and regulatory matters. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kaplan-Marans held a clerkship with the Honorable David Trager of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

During law school, Ms. Kaplan-Marans was a summer associate at WilmerHale. She also interned for the Hon. Joseph Bianco, United States District Judge in the Eastern District of New York, and for the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office, also in the Eastern District of New York. Additionally, she worked as a student prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York.

On July 8, 2014, WilmerHale achieved a significant victory for a pro bono client and domestic violence victim in a case described by the Second Circuit as involving “novel and significant issues” of “first impression” under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
