Paul Jakubowski, who retired from WilmerHale in 2023, was a nationally recognized real estate lawyer with more than 30 years of experience advising investors, developers, and operators on complex real estate transactions across the United States. His practice covered all major asset classes and included acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, leasing, and sophisticated financings. He was especially known as a market leader in tenant‑side headquarters leasing and for building a premier company‑side real estate practice in Boston.
During his career at the firm, Mr. Jakubowski represented public and private REITs, private equity real estate funds, foreign investors, and other major industry participants in high‑value and strategically significant matters nationwide. His work frequently involved multibillion‑dollar portfolios, life sciences and office developments, and highly structured financings. He regularly collaborated with colleagues across the firm’s tax, corporate, bankruptcy, financial institutions, and litigation practices to provide integrated solutions. Mr. Jakubowski was also deeply engaged in the business and civic communities, serving in leadership roles with industry and regional organizations.
