The American Lawyer has recognized WilmerHale among the top 20 out of 200 total law firms for pro bono work on both a national and international basis.
The national rankings are based on a score given to each of the nation's 200 highest grossing firms. According to The American Lawyer, half the score is calculated by the average number of pro bono hours per attorney in 2015, while the remaining half comes from the percentage of lawyers who performed 20 or more hours of pro bono work. The international rankings are a compilation of The American Lawyer's top 200 firms with at least 20 attorneys located internationally, using the same calculation method.
In addition, the firm and individual attorneys have been recently recognized by the Brooklyn Defender Services Family Defense Practice, Boston Bar Association, Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
